Friends of Mangaroa Farm Visit 🌱

Last week we had a visit from our whānau at Taranaki Mounga DOC, and Predator Free Wellington who came to check out the Mangaroa Valley.

Our soil queen Jules Matthews guided us on a tour around the market garden and surrounding grazing paddocks, reminding us of the importance of regenerating soil and the billions of microbes & mycelium that give life and healing to an area.

Grow lords Sam Gibbins & Ben demonstrated helpful tools, practises and techniques we have been using to grow a large amount of kai in a small area.

For lunch, Jana Grossmannova prepared an incredible plant-based kai for us with all produce sourced directly from the gardens.

A great day of learning and creating meaningful connections with whānau doing awesome mahi all across the Motu.
