It’s the Spring of 2021, and we are busy preparing our whenua for what will be planted with cover crops and eventually become the Mangaroa Market garden. This involves the arduous task of hand picking rocks and boulders out of the soil beds, which perhaps was once remnants of an ancient Mangaroa River which flowed through the valley.
